Q: Does the hot-swappable design apply to the CT and VT input leads?
A: No. While the UR9GV module is physically hot-swappable, the secondary circuits of the current transformers must be externally shorted via a test block before module removal. Similarly, VT circuits should be isolated to prevent hazardous voltage feedback. Extracting the module under load will result in an open-circuited CT, leading to high-voltage generation and potential equipment damage.
Q: Is this module capable of standalone metering without a host relay?
A: No. The UR9GV is a passive acquisition module designed to be powered and controlled by a UR relay chassis. It does not possess independent processing or communication capabilities and must be installed within a host relay to function.
