In these demanding processing spaces, large medium-voltage motors drive critical machinery like multi-stage gas compressors, high-pressure boiler feed pumps, main ventilation fans, and massive rock crushers. A sudden electrical short or thermal failure on these main motors can cause millions of dollars in mechanical destruction and facility downtime. The REM620_F is installed in the motor control center (MCC) to act as an advanced safeguard. It constantly tracks phase balance and checks for inner-stator insulation breakdown via motor differential current monitoring. If a winding breakdown or an unexpected mechanical lockup occurs, the relay cuts power to the motor in milliseconds, preserving the machine's copper stator iron from melting.
