The Bently Nevada 3300/45-02-01-03-00 is a Dual Differential Expansion Monitor for the 3300 series. It continuously monitors the relative thermal expansion between a turbine rotor and its casing. By processing proximity transducer inputs, it identifies changes in axial clearance, providing early alerts and automatic shutdowns to prevent catastrophic rubbing and mechanical failure.
Input Signal: Accepts two independent Proximitor transducer signals, typically standard 200 mV/mil or 200 mV/µm.
Measurement Type: Continuously tracks dual-channel differential expansion.
Accuracy: Within 1% of the full-scale range at 25°C (77°F).
Recorder Outputs: Provides options for 4 to 20 mA, 0 to -10 VDC, or 1 to 5 VDC proportional to the full-scale range for DCS/PLC integration.
Alarms Configuration: Both Alert and Danger alarms are fully adjustable from 0 to 100% of full-scale.
System Integration: Fully compatible with standard Bently Nevada 3300 series system racks.
Below is the detailed architectural configuration for this specific part number:
3300/45: Dual Differential Expansion Monitor Module.
-02: Full-Scale Range Option (0 to 10 mm Peak-to-Peak).
-01: Transducer Input Option (Designed for standard 8mm Proximity Probes at 200 mV/mil).
-03: Alarm Relays Option (Quad Relay Module with Alert and Danger relays for both channels, dry contacts).
-00: Agency Approval Option (Standard factory configuration without specific hazardous area certifications).
Can this module monitor radial vibration? No. Radial vibration requires the Bently Nevada 3300/16 Dual Vibration XY/Gap Monitor. The 3300/45 is strictly for thermal differential expansion tracking.
What happens if a transducer wire breaks? The module contains a Not OK circuit. It suppresses false trips, activates the "Not OK" LED on the front panel, and inhibits the Danger relays to ensure system safety.
Is the 3300/45 hot-swappable?It is highly recommended to power down the rack or bypass the relays before insertion or extraction to prevent accidental trips of the machinery.
